From Dusk Till Dawn, UK Quad, 1996 (SOLD)

The film that spawned a tattoo obsession.

In the early 90s, vampire movies had seen a bit of a renaissance. The likes of Gary Oldman in Dracula as well as Tom Cruise & Brad Pitt in An Interview with a Vampire had shown what could be done within the genre that we otherwise had not seen… a more humanistic approach to the blood sucking, habitual bad guys. 

From Dusk Till Dawn sought to ride the wave of that renaissance but, and let’s face it, not quite with the same subtleties and intricacies of Gary Oldman’s performative transformation. It was fun. It was violent. It was sexy. Like the old days.

It was also the film that brought us, not just Salma Hayek, but also George Clooney in his 1st leading role in a major film. You could say that this film was the catalyst to him becoming the icon that he is today… because of that tattoo (probably).
